UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum made an inspection tour to Hatta today, where he viewed various services rendered to citizens by different government departments and bodies.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Director of Dubai Ruler's Court Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shibani, Director of Dubai Ruler's Office Lt. General Musabbah Rashid Al Fattan, Mohammed Juma Al Naboodah and Dubai Director of Protocol and Hospitality Khalifa Saeed Suleiman.
Sheikh Mohammed began his tour with a visit to Hatta Hospital where he was received by Director General of Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Hatta Hospital Director General Saif Al Wali and other hospital staff. There, Sheikh Mohammed listened to a briefing on the medical and healthcare services the Hatta Hospital extends to the citizens by DHA’s Director General, before touring the various sections of the hospital.
At the X-Ray and laboratory sections, Sheikh Mohammed listened to a briefing by the officials there about the specialization of each section and the various cases these sections receive daily, praising the development of healthcare services rendered to both UAE citizens and residents as well as the latest technology applied in these sections.
At Hatta Municipality, Sheikh Mohammed was received by Dubai Municipality Director General Engineer Hussain Nassir Lootah, Hatta Municipality Director and other municipality staff who warmly welcomed him and with whom they exchanged talks about the services and facilities provided to clients. There, He viewed charts for various projects implemented by the municipality and other proposed ones. He ordered that 250 new residential units be built for UAE citizens before viewing other plans for Hatta Wedding Hall and Hatta Heritage Souq. Sheikh Mohammed also visited the Hatta Municipality Public Library where he met with children attending educational and training courses and programmes, praising the idea of such activities.
Sheikh Mohammed went on to visit the General Directorate of Residence and Foreigners Affairs centre in Hatta, where he was received by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Director of General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai Major general Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri who briefed Sheikh Mohammed about the services offered by the centre.
Then, Sheikh Mohammed toured Hatta streets and districts where he was met with widespread delight by the residents who thanked him for the vsist.
Concluding his tour, Sheikh Mohammed inspected Hatta Border post which connects UAE with Oman, where he viewed a AED35 - million new building project, expected to be ready by the end of current year. Dubai Municipality Director General Engineer Hussain Nassir Lootah briefed Sheikh Mohammed about the project highlighting its importance in facilitating travel between Oman and UAE and in increasing trade and tourism between the two countries.
Before leaving the place, Sheikh Mohammed confirmed his keenness to follow up every detail in Hatta and all parts of the UAE, stressing that there will be no forgotten area throughout our beloved country.
