Sheikh Mohammed answers questions at Dubai Air Show 2003

Sheikh Mohammed: This Air Show is successful, of course, because there is an increase in the number of companies and in the amount of exhibition space. Of course exhibitors and buyers come from around the world for this show. European shows are small in comparison, because this one is in the middle whether one is in the east, west, north or south; it is accessible. This attracts exhibitors and buyers; while shows in Europe are getting smaller, this is the number one show, thank Allah.

Question: What is Your Highness' vision with regards to regional peace?

SM: My vision is that of the President and of Sheikh Maktoum. I have no vision but theirs. Allah willing, we will have peace, security, stability and prosperity in this region.

Q: Your Highness, despite all that has been said about the way that the aviation industry has been impacted in the last two years, Dubai Air Show 2003 is a great success and it attracts international aviation organisations and this confirms that there will be new developments in aviation in the future. In your opinion, what will the Air Show offer in the future?

SM: I agree with everything that you just said; your statement has covered everything. Of course, it offers much. This show is now number one worldwide. We have ordered that the space be doubled in response to the increase in the number of people who want to visit this show because we must prepare for the future. For this reason, I have ordered that the exhibition space be doubled and I hope that it will be ready for the next show.
