UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed yesterday the wonderful performance of Godophin’s six-year-old Opinion Poll under the hands and heels of Frankie Dettori; who led the horse to winning the Betfair Henry II Stakes (Group 3) at Sandown Park racecourse in England.
Ridden by Kieren Fallon, Ibicenco came second place, leaving the third for Chiberta King under Jimmy Fortune.
Sheikh Juma Bin Dalmouk Al-Maktoum, Godolphin trainer Mahmoud Al-Zarouni and rider Frankie Dettori received the prices at the end of the race.
“I am very happy with the result and the way the horse ran” said Al-Zarouni exuberantly, adding that his hopes were very high due to the intensive training. “Opinion Poll will go straight to the Gold Cup at Royal Ascot next month”, he remarked.
