Q: How do you envisage Dubai in 2010?
Sheikh Mohammed: Having all these channels that are actively progressing here in Dubai Media City will lead to further advancement. Dubai is constantly developing, as is the UAE as a whole. The media is always looking for new developments, new events, and here they are at the heart of the latest developments.
Q: What are the latest developments in the vision for Dubai Media City?
Sheikh Mohammed: We thank God that DMC has been such a great success in such a short time, but we are still at the beginning of a very long road.
Q: Do you think that the Arabic media is at a level where it can compete with the Western media?
Sheikh Mohammed: The Arabic media is getting there. I do not think that it is equal yet, but the new channels and new technology mean that perhaps, with Allah's will, our media will be equal to the Western media.
Q: How do you evaluate your visit today?
Sheikh Mohammed: It was very good. The channel is an example of a dream that has become reality. The design of the studios...the staff working there...means that this is something beautiful, civilized and advanced.
