Mohammed talks with volunteers

UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum complimented efforts of 100 Emiratis youth for their philanthropic voluntary activities carried through social media during the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Policies Council meeting, emphasising the importance of creativity in philanthropy.

Highlighting UAE’s international humanitarian soft power, Sheikh Mohammed confirmed that, driven by religious values, UAE’s initiatives do not discriminate race, colour or religion and are not only limited to aid but also extended to support educational, cultural and environmental projects around the world, affirming that charity works and good deeds are virtues instilled in young Emiratis by the UAE community.

Stressing the need to stir the youth’s creative thinking, Sheikh Mohammed stated that he personally follows up on both individual and group voluntary initiatives, expressing his satisfaction over Emiratis’ bright ideas in voluntary humanitarian works and community services. “We shall launch a “voluntary week” initiative, through which young Emiratis will have the opportunity to present various new voluntary ideas”, added Sheikh Mohammed, calling on them to suggest 50 new voluntary ideas, from which few will be selected to be launched during the launching date of “voluntary week”.
